Party Bus Auckland FAQ — Every Question Answered

Pricing and Booking
How much does a party bus cost in Auckland?
Party Bus NZ charges $800 for a standard three-hour hire. Additional hours are available at $300 per hour. Drinks are purchased separately on board at bar prices.
How do I book?
Contact Party Bus NZ via the Get a Quote form on the website, by email at info@partybus.nz or by phone on 021 1936 300. Tell us your date, group size and occasion. We confirm availability and send a quote. A deposit secures the booking.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible. Weekend dates — Friday and Saturday nights — book out fast. Four to six weeks minimum for a weekend hire. Popular dates in October through February book out months in advance.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A deposit is required to secure the booking. Until the deposit is paid the date is not confirmed. The balance is due before the hire date.
Can I get a GST invoice?
Yes. GST invoices are available for all corporate bookings. Let us know when you enquire and we will provide full GST documentation.
Capacity and Groups
How many people fit on the bus?
Party Bus NZ seats 32 people. This is the maximum legal capacity. We cannot take more than 32 passengers.
Is there a minimum group size?
No strict minimum. The bus works well from 10 people upward. The best experience is with 15 or more.
What if my group is larger than 32 people?
Contact us to discuss options. For groups over 32 we can advise on the best solution for your situation.
The Bar and Drinks
Is the bar included in the hire?
The bartender and the bar service are included in the hire. Drinks are purchased on board at bar prices — they are not included in the $800 hire cost.
What drinks are available?
The bar carries beer, wine, spirits, RTDs and non-alcoholic options. A full selection is available throughout the hire.
Can we BYO?
No. Party Bus NZ holds a full liquor licence and operates a licensed bar on board. BYO is not permitted.
Is the bus alcohol-free for school events?
Yes. All school ball and under-18 bookings are strictly alcohol-free. No BYO. No exceptions. Parents can book with complete confidence.
The Experience
What is included on the bus?
Licensed bar, bartender, karaoke system, premium sound system, light show dance floor, three TV screens and projector, air conditioning, onboard toilet and panoramic viewing windows.
Can we connect our own music?
Yes. You can connect your phone to the sound system via Bluetooth or aux cable and play your own playlist through the premium sound system.
Where does the bus go?
You choose the route. We can suggest a route based on your pickup location and occasion. The bus covers Auckland-wide — waterfront, CBD, North Shore, suburban areas and scenic routes.
Can we make stops?
Yes. You can request stops at specific locations for photos or short visits. Discuss your preferred stops when booking.
Pickup and Drop-off
Where do you pick up from?
Anywhere in Auckland — North Shore, South Auckland, West Auckland, East Auckland, CBD and Waitakere. We come to your door.
Where do you drop off?
Anywhere you want to end the evening — same address as pickup, a CBD bar, or any other Auckland location.
