By booking with Party Bus we make it our first priority that you enjoy your experience with us and that you do so safely. We recommend all customers read and follow the rules for their specific event and if you have any questions please contact one of our friendly staff for more information.

How to Help Organise a Safe Event

The entire point is to have fun and enjoy the Party Bus experience at each different event or establishment we visit along the way.

Eat! We strongly suggest that everyone eats before the event.
Drink Water! Stay hydrated — we supply water free of charge.
Don't drink & drive! We are the transport so please make sure you have a safe way of getting home when we drop you off. Safety Rules

All passengers must keep all body parts inside the bus at all times. Failure to do so will result in the person/s involved being banned from the bus for the remainder of the hire.

At no time can any of the passengers try and open the doors while the bus is in motion.

Anyone who displays antisocial behaviour will be removed from the bus and the hire may be terminated (without a refund). This is for the safety & benefit of all passengers and staff.

Alcohol Policy
We hold a full alcohol licence. For adult bookings, alcohol may be consumed onboard in accordance with New Zealand law and our responsible-hosting requirements.

Our LCQ-certified staff monitor service at all times. We will not serve anyone who appears intoxicated, and we reserve the right to refuse service or end a hire if alcohol is misused.

Kids, teen, and school events are strictly alcohol-free — no alcohol may be brought onboard or consumed at these bookings.

Guests must be 18+ to purchase or consume alcohol. Valid ID may be required.

1. Booking and Payment
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total booking cost is required to confirm your reservation.
Full Payment: The remaining balance is due before the scheduled event. Failure to make full payment by this date may result in cancellation of the booking without refund.

2. Cancellations and Refunds Cancellation by Client:

Cancellations made more than four weeks prior to the event will forfeit the deposit paid.
Cancellations made between one and four weeks prior will forfeit the greater of the initial deposit or 50% of the total booking cost. If we are able to resell your booking for the same or greater value, we will refund any cancellation charge over your initial deposit.
Cancellations made less than seven days prior require full payment. If we are able to resell your booking for the same or greater value, we will refund any cancellation charge over your initial deposit.
Cancellation by Company: We reserve the right to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.

3. Postponement Policy More Than Seven Days Notice:

If we are able to resell your booking, there will be no postponement charge, and all payments will be held for the new date.
If we are not able to resell, your initial deposit is held as a cancellation charge, and the balance of payments will be held for the new date.
Less Than Seven Days Notice: Cancellations with less than seven days' notice will be at the discretion of management.

4. Behaviour and Conduct

The client is responsible for the behaviour of all guests during the hire period. Any damage to the vehicle or inappropriate behaviour may result in additional charges or immediate termination of the service without refund.
Prohibited Items: Illegal drugs, weapons, fireworks, and any items that may cause damage or excessive mess.

5. Safety and Compliance
All passengers must remain seated while the bus is in motion. Guests must adhere to all safety instructions provided by the driver and staff.

6. Liability
We are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings during the hire period. The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the company against any claims arising from the actions of the client or their guests.

7. Miscellaneous

Duration: The hire period begins and ends at the agreed-upon times. Additional charges may apply for overtime.
Route and Stops: The driver will follow the agreed-upon route and make stops as requested, provided they are safe and legal.
Force Majeure: The company is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control.

8. Pickup Location Restrictions
Our buses are large vehicles and require suitable roads for safe operation. If the designated pickup location is not suitable, we may need to adjust the pickup point to a nearby location. The driver will contact you to arrange an alternative if necessary.

9. What Happens if the Bus is Late?
In the unlikely event the bus arrives late due to unexpected delays, we make up the time at the end of the hire. We give our drivers sufficient time to arrive, however circumstances beyond our control cannot be held against us.

10. Payment Terms
Deposits are required to confirm all events and are non-refundable. Enquiries are noted as quotations — only once we receive your deposit and completed hire form is your booking confirmed. Bookings cancelled with inappropriate notice will be charged at the full value of the hire.

11. Lost Property
We take no responsibility for items left on our buses, however any items found will be kept in our office for up to 14 days. We will contact you to pick them up.

12. Repairs and Cleaning
If a greater level of cleaning is needed you may be required to pay for this. If one of your group is sick on the bus there will be a $150 cleaning charge. Any damage caused by passengers will be charged to the organiser.

13. Amendments
These terms and conditions are subject to change. Clients will be notified of any significant changes prior to the event.

14. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from the hire agreement will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
